Castel acquires Barton & Guestier and consolidates

Castel, leading producer of French wines worldwide, acquires Bordeaux oldest wine merchant,
previously owned by Diageo: Baron & Guestier. The latter has been actively involved in selling
French wines worldwide since 1725.
Selling wines in 130 countries, Baron & Guestier is well-known through the development of a wide
range of French wines, with renowned brands and estates such as B&G, Fonset Lacour, Prince Noir,
Thomas Barton, French Tom, Originel, Château Magnol, …

The Castel group has sold all its water business operations to P. Papillaud. |

We can now confirm the sale of our water business to Mr Papillaud. This operation concerns the Alma group with its subsidiaries Neptune and CGES as well as the brand names St Yorre, Vichy Célestins, Thonon, Pierval, Chateldon, Courmayeur and Cristaline, Vernière, Rozana which are supplemented by regional brands. However, it is necessary to add that all existing distribution agreements with the Alma Group are maintained, most notably with the RHF and export departments.
The Castel group is looking to refocus on its original Wine business and can strengthen its position based on opportunities. |
